How to create backups and backup tasks on my Plesk control panel?

How can I create backups on my Plesk control panel?

The backups can be created in your Plesk control panel this way:

  1. In your accountgo to PRODUCTS and click on the corresponding product section in the sub-menu.
  2. Go to the section: Active products and click on Manage on the right of the corresponding domain.
  3. Click on MANAGE in the Control panel section.
  4. Click on Backup Manager on the top-right.
  5. Click on "Back up" on the top-left.
  6. Select the options of your choice and click on OK.

You can also schedule backup tasks in the Backup manager of Plesk this way:

  1. In your account go to PRODUCTS and click on the corresponding product section in the sub-menu.
  2. Go to the section: Active products and click on Manage on the right of the corresponding domain.
  3. Click on MANAGE under Control panel.
  4. Click on Backup Manager on the top-right.
  5. Click on Schedule.
  6. Click on "Activate this backup task" and select the options of your choice.
  7. Click on Apply and OK to save the changes.

Once the backup is created, you will find it in the Backup Manager.

The backup file can be also downloaded locally on your premises if you click on the arrow on the left of the corresponding backup item.

It is also possible to configure a remote backup on a FTP server:

  1. In your account go to PRODUCTS and click on the corresponding product section in the sub-menu.
  2. Go to the section: Active products and click on Manage on the right of the corresponding domain.
  3. Click on MANAGE under Control panel.
  4. Click on Backup Manager on the top-right.
  5. Click on Remote Storage Settings.
  6. Click on FTP.
  7. Enter the required data.
  8. Click on Apply and OK.
